About Luke Frederick
I grew up in Eagle Lake and have had a strong belief in SERVICE my whole life. It started when I joined Boy Scouts at a young age and then was further developed when I joined Civil Air Patrol. After I graduated high school, I joined AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) for a 1-year term of volunteer service — building a summer camp for underprivileged kids in Vermont, Habitat homes in Alabama, and doing disaster relief in Florida.
Worker Rights
I enrolled at MNSU–Mankato and started working at the State Hospital in St. Peter, MN in 2005. With my employment at the State Hospital, I became and have continued to be a union member — holding elected office within AFSCME Local 404 for over 5 years. During that time, I focused on standing up for worker rights and workplace safety. I had the INTEGRITY to do so even when it was hard.

South-central Minnesota deserves a leader who will work across the political aisle when possible yet still hold firm to the values of the people they represent.
